Snook Independent School District would like your input in choosing a school calendar for the 2017- 2018 school year. The school district is asking employees, parents, and community members to choose a calendar that will work best for students, staff, parents, and community. The Snook Independent School District Education Improvement Committee has presented two options for consideration.
The Texas Legislature’s House Bill (HB) 2610 requires districts to provide at least 75,600 minutes of instruction, including intermissions and recess. Teachers are still required to work a full 187 days.
Please review the calendar options provided in the appropriate links below and then choose which calendar you support for the 2017-2018 school year. Please give us your input by 5:00 p.m., Friday, March 24th. The final calendar proposals and survey results will then be presented to the Board of Trustees for consideration and adoption.
We thank you for your time, and we appreciate your participation in the school calendar development process.
