October is Fentanyl Poisoning Awareness Month.

💙 BLUEJAY FAMILIES | KNOW THE FACTS ABOUT FENTANYL
October is Fentanyl Poisoning Awareness Month. An important conversation at home could help save a life.
Counterfeit pills can look like prescription medicine but contain deadly fentanyl. You cannot tell whether fentanyl is present by looking, smelling, or tasting.
✔️ Only take medication prescribed to you and provided by a licensed pharmacy.
✔️ Talk with your children about the risks of pills purchased online, through social media, or shared by others.
✔️ Keep conversations open, listen without judgment, and encourage children to ask a trusted adult for help.
🚨 If someone cannot be awakened or has slow or stopped breathing, call 911 immediately. Give naloxone if available and stay with them until help arrives.
