Christi Everett has been selected as the new principal of Snook Elementary, replacing outgoing principal Shari Hedstrom. She will assume her leadership role in July.
Christi Everett holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Texas A&M University in the area of Interdisciplinary Studies and a Master of Education degree from Lamar University in Education Leadership. She has worked in public education since 1994, serving in the roles of substitute, paraprofessional, classroom teacher, and administrator.
Mrs. Everett began her career as a substitute for Bryan ISD then moved to the role of paraprofessional at Jones Elementary as a fifth grade teaching assistant. This led to a fifth grade math and science classroom teaching position at Jones Elementary. In 2000, she moved to Mitchell Elementary where she taught fifth grade math and science, fourth grade math and science, gifted and talented/extension pull-out, and computer technology for kindergarten through fifth grade. Texas A&M University and Bryan ISD partnered for a GK-12 Grant for 2006-2009 and Mrs. Everett coordinated the grant for Bryan ISD. Following the completion of the grant, she served as Jones Elementary Dean of Instruction until 2011 when she moved to the Assistant Principal’s position at Bonham Elementary. For the past four years, she has served as the Program Specialist for Snook Elementary.
She is married to Tim who is self-employed and has two children. Tiffani, 31, is a Texas A&M University graduate and married with two sons. Matthew, 19, is a Rudder High School graduate and currently working alongside her husband with his business.
“It is a great privilege to be part of Snook ISD as we encourage and empower each student to excel,” said Everett. “This is a shared journey with our teachers and staff. I look forward to continued success at Snook Elementary.”
