Hafley Named Principal for Snook Secondary

The Snook ISD school board hired Lee Hafley as the new secondary principal for the 2020-2021 school year at a special called board meeting on May 13, 2020.

 

Mr. Hafley is starting his 25th year in public education. He grew up in Wichita Falls, TX where he graduated from Wichita Falls High School in 1989. After high school graduation, he attended Western State College of Colorado, where he received a scholarship to play basketball at the University. After transferring to Tarleton State University, he received his Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise and Sports Studies. In 1995, he began his career in public education as a teacher and head coach at Strawn ISD and later at Hutto ISD, where he worked for 9 years.

 

In 2007 he completed his Master’s Degree in Educational Administration from the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor allowing him to begin his administration career. Before being hired as the 6-12 principal at Snook ISD, he was a campus principal at Milano Junior High, Thorndale Middle/High, and Llano Junior High School, totaling 9 years in Campus Administration.

 

Lee and his family are thrilled to call Snook their new home! Lee and Traci (a former teacher and now Sales Director for a cosmetic company for over 10 years) have a blended family with four wonderful children, Jordan (23) a college graduate and 2nd-year teacher/coach, Madison (19) currently attending Tarleton State University where she is pursuing a degree in nursing, Greenli (11) and Stella (8) soon to be a 6th grader and 3rd grader at Snook ISD, are excited about becoming a Snook Bluejay!

 

After the meeting, Hafley said, “We look forward to continuing the rich traditions and to be an integral part of Snook ISD's wonderful vision…where each student is encouraged and empowered to excel. Together with the Community, Parents, Teachers, Administrators, and most importantly our students, we can and will achieve great things! I am excited to be a Bluejay!”
