Grievance Process
Grievance Process
The Snook ISD Board of Trustees strongly encourages employees, students, parents, and community patrons to address their concerns and complaints through informal conferences with the appropriate administrator.
-
Concerns should be expressed as soon as possible to allow for early resolution at the lowest possible administrative level. This informal discussion is the most effective way to reach a satisfactory outcome quickly.
-
If an informal conference regarding a complaint fails to reach a satisfactory outcome, the concerned employee, student, parent, or patron may initiate the formal grievance process described in the relevant Snook ISD policies.
- This process is initiated by the timely filing of a written grievance form within the stated timeline.
- Even after initiating the formal process, complainants are encouraged to continue seeking informal resolution of their concerns.
- The formal complaint may be withdrawn at any time.
Per Snook ISD board policy, complaint forms must be filed within fifteen days of the date the complainant first knew, or with reasonable diligence should have known, of the decision or action giving rise to the complaint or grievance and with the lowest level administrator who has the authority to remedy the alleged problem.
-
Complaints/Grievances should be completed with the appropriate information and filed by email, hand delivery, fax, or mail to Snook ISD at the district's main address: Snook ISD, PO Box 87, Snook, TX 77878.
